Climate-KIC Ph.D. Summer School 7 - 18 July in Rotterdam

Take part in this year’s two-week Climate-KIC Ph.D. Summer School ‘Making and Prototyping for a Sustainable Future: Transforming the future built environment’.

This two-week intensive programme will take place in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and address the challenges of refurbishment of existing building stock and is organised in close collaboration with Climate-KIC’s partners that collaborate on Climate-KIC’s flagship Building Technology Accelerator (BTA) project.

To support the transformation of the built environment, the Building Technology Accelerator aims to stimulate the dissemination and acceleration of new low carbon technologies into the market.

The project also addresses the climate impact of new building technologies combined with human interaction.

Prototyping and fabrication technologies

Students will learn and apply design methods as well as innovative prototyping and fabrication technologies in the development of product- and service-systems for the future built environment.

Students will be encouraged to consider product and services that can accelerate the adoption process by collaboratively engaging urban development stakeholders.

More information about the programme and the application procedure will follow soon.
